Any foreign-born adult age 16 and over who desires to learn English or improve his or her English language skills can apply. The ILC accepts applicants regardless of race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin, disability or other eligibility restrictions. Applicants must register at The ILC in person. The ILC guidance counselor conducts an individualized interview, which assesses which class would be most appropriate and places the student on the waitlist for that class. New students are enrolled in the program on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration occurs Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Translators are welcomed to accompany registering students.
