It all starts with you

Trung and LoanIn March we had a visit from an old friend. Former student Trung brought his new wife, Loan, to register for class telling her, “English first. Don’t worry about anything else.”

Trung certainly knows the value of English first. He came to the United States with his mother from Vietnam in 2012. He tried to apply to Northlands Job Corps Center to earn his high school diploma and learn a trade, but he was told his English wasn’t good enough.

After attending English classes at The ILC for one year, his English improved enough to enter the Job Corps program, earn his degree and gain expertise in autobody repair. Trung has been working in autobody repair steadily since 2016.

Supporters like you gave Trung the start he needed to be successful in this country. Loan needs you to do the same. Now is the perfect time to give while an anonymous donor will double your donation for our annual appeal through the end of April.

Thank you for your support.
