On-Demand Virtual Training

The number of children with mental health concerns has grown exponentially in the past decade. Given the social and economic cost of these conditions, it is imperative to meet students’ needs in all contexts of their lives. Educators are in a unique position to notice and support the challenges students are facing, including the particular stressors that immigrants may grapple with. In this training, experts discuss strategies to identify and assist students who may be struggling. The training was originally held on Tuesday, November 19 from 4:00-5:30 PM ET.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize mental health challenges that are common in immigrant youth
  • Anticipate and reduce the obstacles to supporting mental health in culturally diverse classrooms
  • Develop and use culturally responsive social-emotional and behavioral interventions

This webinar is free of charge. It is designed for K-12 educators, administrators and anyone interested in supporting immigrant youth.
