Long Tran was a refugee from Vietnam who began working within 24 hours of arriving in Massachusetts. With little education but plenty of drive, he and a friend decided to go into business together. While still working full-time, they opened a small restaurant.
Eventually, Tran ventured on his own with one of downtown Lowell’s favorite eateries, Viet Thai Restaurant. In 2012, Viet Thai Restaurant nearly doubled in size to serve its increased demand.
