Mahmud Jafri came to the United States from Pakistan to study. Seeing that constraints like a lack of family connections or political affiliation were not barriers to success in the U.S. as in Pakistan, he decided to stay. Mahmud eventually opened Dover Rug and Home, now based in Natick, MA.
The success of his business was acknowledged at The Immigrant Learning Center, Inc.’s Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards 2012 where Dover Rug and Home was nominated for the Business Growth award.
