JeffreyWhat do a social worker and an airline employee have in common? Believe it or not, it’s you!

Jeffrey was a social worker helping youth and people with disabilities in Haiti. When he reunited with family members in Massachusetts, he spoke very little English and had very limited career opportunities.

After studying at The ILC, his English improved and The ILC Education and Career Advisors worked with him to find a job using his social skills. They did practice interviews and helped with job applications. The hard work paid off when Jeffrey got a job at Prime Flight, which contracts with Air France at Boston Logan Airport.

“My field is social worker, and now I’m working like a passenger service representation, maybe a little bit like a social worker because I’m interacting with people. I working with people. I take care with the passenger, to help the passenger.”

His next goal is to get an equivalency for his B.S. in sociology and return more fully to helping people in need, and then to become a U.S. citizen.

Jeffrey couldn’t be happier with the support he received from The ILC. He says, “It’s a very, very, very best people at The ILC.” This is all possible because of your support.
