‘She’s a phenomenon’: ILC’s Diane Portnoy honored with key to the city

Portnoy is the co-founder of the Immigrant Learning Center (ILC), a school in Malden whose mission is to “give immigrants a voice.” The ILC provides free English classes to immigrants and refugee adults, educates the public about the positive impact immigrants have on the country and the economy, and documents that impact through research.
